As I write this, I am listening to the beginning of the 18th day of protests in Egypt.
Hopefully, Americans will have a functioning nation and elections in 2012. I would like to make a few suggestive litmus tests for candidates just in case America is still here.
I do not think the Bill of Rights is negotiable. The First Amendment guarantees all Americans freedom of speech, freedom of assembly and the right to petition the government for redress of our grievances.
All of these rights are under attack. I will refuse to vote for Michelle Bachmann or anyone else who voted for renewal of the Patriot Act. And I refuse to vote for any candidate who will not abolish the TSA which violates the Fourth Amendment against unreasonable searches.
I also want to vote for a candidate who is willing to say NO to Israel. America is way beyond broke. In two years we will not be able to spend hundreds of billions of dollars a year on wars that serve no purpose except to repress people who do not want to be occupied by a racist and psychopathic state.
Watch Ken O’Okeefe report on the latest Israeli war crime in Gaza.
I refuse to vote for anyone who does not condemn what you will see in this next video.
I refuse to vote for any candidate who proposes Austerity Cuts to wages, pensions, benefits, services and education before they cut at least 400 billion dollars from the military. Stop the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan. Pull out of at least 40 to 80 of the 140 countries where we have troops. Audit the books. Try to find some the 5 trillion dollars the Pentagon lost.
They can also abolish the Department of Homeland Security. And please cut back on the 80 plus billion dollars our 16 intelligence agencies spend.
I also want the Treasury Department seize the privately owned Federal Reserve bank.
After they have done that they have the right to talk to us about making sacrifices.
The economy is in bad shape. The real unemployment rate is over 22%. The real inflation rate is 6%.
To date Bailouts have cost us more than 20 trillion dollars. Our wages, pensions and savings will be cut in half by election day in 2012.
William Black developed evidence that led to the arrest and prosecution of 1,100 executives in the 1980s.
I refuse to vote for any candidate who does not promise to prosecute banking criminals and seize the money they stole from us.
