Joe Biden: Hello, Mr President. I am here with Jake Sullivan and we have an urgent matter to discuss with you. No. Hunter Biden does not need another No Show job. No, today I want to talk to you about the Ukraine.
Xi Jinping: My friend Vladimir is doing well in the Ukraine.
Biden: Yes. The Israelis told us that the Ukrainians will be done in 2 weeks, but we need the war to last beyond the November elections so we don’t have to answer embarrassing questions until after we count the votes.
Xi Jinping: (Laughing.) What are you gong to do, send half the Russian army credit cards so they can take their families on a summer vacation in Sochi?
Joe Biden: What a brilliant idea! (An aside to Jake Sullivan) These Chinese are very clever people. No. We are having problems with NAFTA, the North American Free Trade Agreement, and need your help.
Xi Jinping: NAFTA worked very well for us. We are wall to wall with factories. Everyone in China has a job.
Joe Biden: That’s the problem. NAFTA has created a situation for us we didn’t foresee at the time. The Russians are firing 50,000 artillery shells a day at the Ukrainians. And we are struggling to get them 5,000 rounds a day. We didn’t realize when we passed NAFTA and shut down 80,000 American manufacturing plants that we’d have to fight a war with no means to supply our troops. We’re willing to fight to the last Ukrainian but we need them to keep fighting until November 9th, the day after the elections.
Xi Jinping: So what do you expect me to do?
Jake Sullivan: Jake Sullivan here, Mr President. We would like you to use that tremendous industrial capacity we gave you to make 45,000 artillery shells a day and send them to the Ukraine.
Xi Jinping: But my friend Vladimir wouldn’t like that. He told me a joke a few years ago. He said, “In English the acronym NATO actually means Not Altogether Thought Out.” I thought that was funny. Sometimes Vlad says such funny things.
Jake Sullivan. We were thinking we could send a few dozen NATO cargo planes every day until November and fly them across Canada to England and then to the Ukraine.
Xi Jinping: How do you plan to pay for that? I heard several years ago you gave some Europeans lead bars sprayed with gold paint. That was not nice. You don’t have anything we need.
Jake Sullivan: We could give you US Treasury bonds. And you could give them to Chinese banks and property developers who could sell the bonds and pay off those angry mobs of depositors.
Xi Jinping: We have been trying to unload all those worthless American bonds we already have. I’ll have to think about that one. I think you’d be better off giving 100,000 Russian soldiers and their families $10,000 spending sprees in Sochi and maybe a few other vacation hot spots. That’s only a billion dollars. A lot cheaper than all those artillery shells. I’ll get back to you if anyone here is interested.
Jake Sullivan: Never fear Mr Biden. I have a Plan B. (To his aide) Send in Joey Bertolini.
Joey Bertolini: Hello, Mr President. I am honored to be a guest at the White House. I was the first person in my family to go to college. And now I am first to be a guest of the President.
Jake Sullivan: I was in New York last weekend. He is a graduate student at Columbia. It turns out that he makes more money as a stand up comedian than as a research assistant so he is doing clubs around Manhattan this summer. I saw his act. He was great. Towards the end I saw some really big Russian thugs from Brighton Beach come in late causing problems. But he launched into a Russian dialogue and had those Russian mafia guys laughing. They even tried to sign him to work weekends at their club.
Joey Bertolini: I’m a graduate student in foreign languages at Columbia and am fluent in German and Russian so if you need me to do routines in German too, I have you covered.
Jake Sullivan: We won’t need your German skills. The German government is a bunch of trained seals and already do whatever we want, even if it means their citizens have to freeze in the dark this winter. We only need your Russian abilities. I’m going to give you a script in Russian I had the CIA write. This script is top secret so don’t ever tell anyone. Read it over and then do the monologue for the President in English. Your cover is that you are a captain in the GRU, their military intelligence, and wanted to tell command level officers in the Russian Air Force the latest American secrets from their Moscow embassy. We’ll get you an authentic GRU uniform when you perform in Moscow.
Joey Bertolini: I’m ready. To set the scene I will be addressing high ranking Russian Air Force officers, colonel and above. I will be dressed in a GRU captain’s uniform.
He continues: I hate to interrupt this important conference of Russian Air Force commanders, but I have obtained American secrets concerning our Air Force from their embassy in Moscow. The Americans want to convince Russian commanders that any war against NATO must be fought fairly. For example, American stealth jets are not very stealthy in the rain so we would on the principles of fairness in warfare ask that Russia suspend operations in a war against NATO if it is raining. We can resume fighting as soon as an agreed upon weatherman tells both sides the rain has stopped.
And also in terms of fairness we ask you to at least double your military budget. Look at the US budget of $852 billion a year vs yours of $65.9 billion. It makes us look bad. Our voters might think we’re robbing them blind just because tens of trillions of dollars went “Missing” from the Pentagon.
In the case of the F-35 we spend an average of $178 million per plane to produce, not including the $40 billion development cost. And the operating costs are astronomical at $36,000 per hour. So in the interest of fairness, we want the Russian Air Force to make some fake announcements of cost over runs on the SU-57 and maybe a recall of the SU-35 saying you’re having ejection seat problems.
Jake Sullivan: See, Mr President. I told you this guy was a great comedian.
Joey Bertolini: Wow! If I took this script to Brighton Beach they’d be laughing themselves silly. They might even get me on Russian TV. The Russian Army stopping a war because it’s raining. That’s funny.
Jake Sullivan: That’s a top secret document and cannot leave the White House until you perform this in front of the Russian military. Now here is a second script for the Russian Army.
Joey Bertolini: OK. I’ll go read the next monologue on the couch.

Joey Bertolini: Wow! This next script is dangerous. I could get killed or even worse tortured and then killed. You want me to go in front of Russian Army commanders and tell them the secret to America’s success is diversity. American soldiers are tougher than Russian soldiers because they take showers with transgenders. That’s funny but the next part is downright dangerous. You want me to tell Russian commanders including men from Spetsnaz that to compete with the American elite transgender commandos that we want them to volunteer to have their thing cut off. If they refuse, we will have to take away their retirement benefits. That first part could work into my Brighton Beach routine but I’ll never even touch that last part. You guys are crazy. I’m out of here.
Jake Sullivan: There goes Plan B. In 2020 we stole 14 million votes and made you President. Maybe, we can steal 21 million votes to keep Pelosi and Schumer in power. I’ll call the DNC. Maybe we’ll have to steal 40 million votes considering how badly things are going.
Joe Biden: It’s time for my nap. Jill told me to take lots of naps so I can stay sharp for the TV cameras.
